Shown here is an animation of the Mandelbar set shifting from first to tenth order. The vertical is the real axis, while the horizontal is the imaginary axis. This animation was rendered in Mathcad. The difference between a Mandelbrot and a "Mandelbar" is the fact that the iterative variable is replaced with its complex conjugate prior to being raised to a power during each iteration.
