The Order of a Fractal

Home | Fractals | Convergent

This fractal is formed by placing four equal diameter spheres such that they are mutually externally tangential. In other words, at the corners of an equilateral triangular pyramid or tetrahedron. The four spheres in this animation are red, green, blue, and white, and are partially reflective in an ambient illuminated environment. The blending of the multiple reflections results in the full color wheel appearance. This was rendered in SolidWorks with the PhotoView 360 plug-in.
