This is a zoom animation of a smoothed Newton's Method fractal. The equation used to generate the fractal was X^2.8 + 1 = 0 and I zoomed in along the real axis around X = -0.66600304886490915. I rendered the animation at 15,360 by 8,640 and down sampled the frames to 2160p to remove aliasing. Towards the end of the video a breakdown in precision can be seen.
